Hello, my name is Tina, I am 36 years old and I have had struggles with being over weight all my life, except for 2 years when I was 21 - 23. I was a large kid, and a large teenager, and a large adult, and I have finally gotten to the point of I can't take it anymore. I am a single mom and diets are hard, cause I always took the lazy way out and didn't want to prepare two different meals, or some excuse. I am finally at a point in my life where I know I need this and I need to help my kids also realize that eating healthy is best for them too. I don't want to see my kids grow up the way I did being ridiculed and picked on because of my weight. I want to be healthy for my kids and myself. I have finally meet a man that is an amazing man and loves to be with me, but before I can fully give myself to him for forever, I need to love myself, and I don't love myself the way I am now, so I need to take control of that and become what I want. I am hoping that by getting this surgery I will be able to love myself, but also show my kids that being unhealthy isn't the way to live life. This is my second time going in for a weight loss surgery. Back in 2010/2011 I had the Lapband done, however, I had to have it removed due to complications and it was so frustrating at the time that I didn't listen to my doctor then and just have the sleeve done when he took it out and I just went home and now I regret that cause I have been getting worse than I was back a few years ago. I am now ready though and have decided to jump in and get it done. I do however, don't have to wait as long as the last time or go to as many doctors appointments as I did when I first started this journey. I am very excited to get started and get to the healthier me!!!
