I found bariatricPal via the big sleeve book and I'm so happy that I did. It took me a year b to make the decision and I originally was going to get the RNY and prepared for it b u t backed out. One year latter, my neurosurgeon tel l s me, I will soon need neck and spine surgery and I must lose weight. Mind you, I just turned 39.n this is horrifying to add to my already long laundry list of medical problems so I decided something drastic needed to be done and this is it however mynsurgeon n switched the game on me and basically insisted that t h e sleeve was t h e only way to go because of my extensive medical and medication requirements so that's that. I'm 322 now bUT I've been fat most of my life. I was bullied in school relentlessly and even in adulthood it sometimes occurs. I hate being fat and it's literally killing me so this is the start of a new chapter in my life...
