My story, well I just turned 60 years old and I'm ready to feel like I'm 40 again. :) I just found out I was approved for gastric sleeve on Tuesday, 8-18-15. They instruced me to start the liquid diet on Wednesay but since it was my birthday, they said I could wait until Thursday. I had a hard time finding the Carnation Instant Breakfast Essential that they wanted me to use. I went to WalMart, CVS, Walgreens and Dollar General. I finally found it at Reasor's. I haven't been able to taste much or smell for 6 months. I don't drink milk or like malts/shakes so this is a challenge for me. I've been drinking it mixed in hot water. To me it tastes like very weak hot chocolate. Today however, I've had a terrible headache. I'm sure it's the detoxing so I'm just trying to work through it. 600 calories a day seems like starvation, but I'm trying to stick to it. My husband and family are so supportive, I hope I'm not being too mean.
