Biotin is an essential water-soluble B Vitamin. The name Biotin is taken from the Greek word bios meaning "life." Without biotin, certain enzymes do not work properly and various complications can occur involving the skin, intestinal tract, and nervous system. Metabolic problems including very low blood sugars between meals, high blood ammonia, or acidic blood (acidosis) can occur. Death is theoretically possible, although no clear cases have been reported.

Biotin deficiency is extremely rare. This is because daily biotin requirements are relatively small, biotin is found in many foods, and the body is able to recycle much of the biotin it has already used.

Do an online search for Biotin and 1,000's of places will pop up offering to sell you this product.

Macro, I take a Vitamin that is manufactured in Australia....Berocca Performance. It has ALL the B vitamines, including Biotin, and some other stuff. I have to buy it on Ebay from a lady who lives in New York on the Canadian border, but you should be able to buy at your local drugstore!

It comes in three flavors and effervesces in Water like an Alka Seltzer tablet. I use the orange, stir in a tablespoon of Fiber supplement AND a packet of Crystal Light that is orange flavored because I can still taste the Vitamins a little if I don't.

If Biotin is a B Vitamin then you probably get enough by eating your daily Vegemite! Vegemite is full of B Vitamins.< /p>

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
