You may not lose good till you get on solids. That is how it is for most people

I have lost weight on a steady basis but everyone is different. Be patient...it will happen for you too.

As for your Water. You add crystal lite to it in any flavor you want and it helps. I purchased a case of 20oz bottled water from Walmart. Each morning, I take out three bottles, mix my crystal lite, and put one by my chair, one by the bathroom sink, and one in the kitchen. As I pass by them, I drink some from them. The goal is to drink all three prior to bedtime. It works for me.

Our bodies are pretty efficient pieces of machinery. Drop your calories too far and at some point your body will react by lowering your metabolism because it thinks you're starving and is becoming more efficient at conserving those calories. Obviously we're all different so there will be exceptions but perhaps this is what's happening to you.

In the past when I'd do a low calorie diet. I'd do low cal/low fat for 3-4 days and then 2 days of normal (per normal people, not 'my' normal) eating and then back to the low cal/low fat. I'd shed more weight with that method than just a straight low cal/low fat diet.

I wouldn't worry about it though. The weight will come off eventually. I've only lost 10 pounds in the 6 weeks since surgery and most of that has been since I started back on solid foods.

You are still in the very early stages of your bandster life. Just focus on eating high protein foods and getting your water in and the weight loss will come. Do you realize you can get some exercise? You just aren't suppose to "work-out" yet. Walking in the first month was essential for me. Walk every chance you get.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
