another day of fill question...flying...

i just found out i need to fly in a helicopter for about 40 minutes each way four hours after my fill. we generally only go about 2500 feet up.

i know that air travel can increase restriction -- but at that low of altitude should i expect it?

i am actually flying in a plane 3 days after my fill -- but wasn't expecting 4 hours later!

thanks... i will talk to my surgeon tomorrow before my fill and worst case scenario i will just do the 2 hour drive if i have to...but was wondering if anyone had experience flying "day of".

I fly from Fairbanks to Anchorage everytime to get my fills...so i land,go get my fill and 2 hours later (for airport security reasons,lol) I fly home...at 35,000 feet..you should be just fine!

i love.love.love alaska. since the late 90s i have been backpacking around there every chance i get. most recently in october 08. snow city cafe in downtown anchorage remains my favorite place for Breakfast in the world. i am a homer spit girl at heart. i did live on sitka for 3 months my first trip, though.
