I know this sounds stupid but i just got my 4th fill 2 days ago and had no different feeling. No restriction. I could eat anything as fast as I wanted to. Well I just got done eating 2 bites of ham and a string cheese and on my last bite I had this small uncomfy feeling in my chest for the 1st time. Is this the feeling of full? Or did I eat to fast?I hardly ate anything YAY. This band thing may work for me:)

LET ME EXPLAIN SOMETHING TO YOU. I EAT TOO FAST, TAKE BIG MOUTHFULS, AND DONT CHEW CHEW CHEW. BECAUSE OF THAT, MY BAND GETS FULL, NOT ME. I JUST CANT SEEM TO DO ALL THAT, SO I LIVE WITH THE FACT THAT I DONT GET THAT FULL, SATISFIED FEELING THAT YOURE SUPPOSED TO GET. IVE LOST ABOUT 85 POUNDS SO FAR IN ABOUT A YEAR AND LOOK AND FEEL GREAT. SO, IF U FOLLOW THE RULES, YOU WILL FEEEL "FULL AND SATISFIED" AND U WONT EXPERIENCE PAIN OR GETTING STUCK. HONESTLY, BECAUSE OF THE WAY I EAT, I RELY ON THE STUCK FACTOR. IT WORKS FOR ME. TO EACH HIS OWN. GOOD LUCK!:w00t:

Thanks guys. Im so happy Im getting restriction because I have been working my butt off and I want this band to chip in a little LOL. I feel my will power slipping and wanting to eat more so this thing working is a huge deal for me. I was about to give up but now with a little help from my friend ( the band) I think I can do this WHOOHOOO. I think I may have ate too fast for lunch but before this fill I could wolf the food down and no pain. So this fill must be it or at least close to my sweet spot. Its funny how you can give up on yourself and think nothing including surgery will work. I need some faith in this band.

I feel you, sister. I just got my 2nd fill this week and can DEFINITELY tell I have a band now. Unfortunately sesame crackers are going down like butter and stuff like ground turkey taco meat and (sigh) my Morningstar Farms faux sausage patties are laying heavy in my chest. I had my first :puke:PB today on a MSF sausage patty. I chewed it very well too.

I'm going to switch over to Protein shakes all day tomorrow and then switch over to mushies for a couple days before trying solids again.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
