staramorcita 0 Posted October 20, 2005 I was banded on August 1st. I'm averaging about a 1 pd a week. I remember the doctor saying that after banding you should be consuming about 1 cup of food at each meal. I'm eating more than 1 cup that's for sure. Should I be concerned about that? I've already had a fill two weeks ago. I'm only now starting to feel a difference in how much I can eat comfortably BUT it still is more than 1 cup. (Is that normal? Too feel restriction days and days after a fill?)
riverrat 0 Posted October 20, 2005 I've had numerous fills, and still don't feel that "restriction". I would speak with your doctor. It usually takes several fills to figure out your fill point. I know that I feel much fuller if I eat hard Protein first ( ie--meats first then some veggies). The most filling food I have found is Breakfast sausage patties. The doctor told me that it's not that you can't eat more than 4oz, you just shouldn't. We should retrain our eating to stop at 4oz. Personally I do more around 4 1/2 to 5 oz. Some days I am defenitely more full than others. I'll probally go for another fill next week. Good Luck!
Marimaru 7 Posted October 20, 2005 If you are losing a pound a week, I personally wouldn't mess with it. If you stop losing that pound a week, then get a fill. My personal philosophy is that you should lose weight on the most food that you can, so that you can lower your calories later if you need to, you know? lovecats85 2 Posted October 20, 2005 Isn't a cup 8 ounces - thats seems about what I eat.
