My doctor asked if my periods had changed, and I understand that your change in weight can change your periods and make them less frequent, but i seem to be getting mine every 2 to 3 weeks! Has this happened to anyone else? I was always right on the dot- every 28 days.

I've started to gain back weight that I've lost- I'm not sure where I should be on my band fill. It's pretty tight in the morning, but then I can eat and eat my way through the day.

Since I've lost all this weight and gained it back, my total loss is closer to 6 pounds. And I was banded 9/28/09.

Totally disappointing, and the extra periods suck.

Any thoughts?

My band is always tighter in the morning and loosens up as the day goes on. It sounds to me like you need a fill to help you eat less.

As far as the periods go, I really have no idea. Contact your OBGYN and find out if it is related to your surgery and what can be done about it.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
