Hi All,

I just wanted to post my surgery experience. I was banded by Dr. Steven Bonomo from Greenville, NC. The hospital is in Washington, NC though, only about a 40 minute drive from his office. The staff at the hospital couldn't have been more thorough and kind. I initally thought that I would stay overnight but found out only after my surgery that I would go home that same day when I was ready. Well the surgery was timely and I was up and out of the bed going to the bathroom only hours after recovery. I can't say that I remember seeing the Dr. after the surgery but there was no need to see him. The nurses were able to tell me everything I needed to know and the anesthesiologist came to check on my iv a little later. Amazing experience... I would do it all over again.

Thank you for posting. Dr. Bonomo is my doctor--my surgery is January 14th! I feel even better now after reading. Were you nauseated and/or in pain? How many total hours were you there?
