Banded single men in N. Cali?

Recommended Posts

I lost the weight, now I've started to date - ye gads, it's a lot different now! It has been years for me. I love the attention and the new, high activity level, but I hate the games and the disappointments. Any banded single men out there who get it??

Yeah I get what you're going thru...though I've always had some success with the ladies...I carried my weight well being a little taller than most guys but, just goes to show you this past weekend I went out to a club for the first time since being banded, I'm only 18lbs down, but I kid you not I had 2 very attractive girls give me their numbers...voluntarily...like I didnt even ask...that has never happened to me. Look all I can say is enjoy it, sure theres alot of games but at the end of the day theres so many people in the world that those games shouldnt matter. If you feel like someone is stringing you along move on to the next one. The way I see it is we were born by ourselves (unless youre a twin) we die by ourselves too...I feel like I really dont need anybody but at the same time I'm nothing short of grateful for the people who do come into my life. Dont stress over it is what I'm trying to say. Enjoy it, do your thing, be you and someone will value that.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
