Should I be scared?

 On Thursday night I took 2 Tylenol P.M.s One of the pills got a little stuck and after an hour of pbing, I puked it up and was okay. The next day I felt pretty sore and took it easy with liquids and soft foods. I was also wearing pants that were a little tight around my belly. By that night I had some pain in my stomach but didn't think too much of it. Saturday it felt pretty weird too. By now I am thinking that maybe I might be a little constipated and that is the problem So I added some Benefiber to my Water. By Sunday I thought Constipation is definetely causing these stomach cramps and had some more Benefiber in my water. Now today it still feels like stomach cramps, from my belly button on up about 3 inches and sometimes it's down a few inches. Is this something I need to be worried about? I mean, it is not serious pain, but it's there. I am a self pay and I have to drive an hour one way to get to my doc. Maybe it's a flu bug? My friend says it's just gas. Do you think it could be something serious or probably something that will get better in time? Help somebody!

Just my opinion, but I think your friend might be right, so maybe you should try something like GasX for the pain. As long as it's not excruciating, I wouldn't get too concerned. One case of vomiting shouldn't cause you to have band trouble, and you did the right thing by staying on liquids and soft foods the next day.

I asked the NP about what I should do in case of the stomach flu, and she said one day of vomiting shouldn't cause band problems, but if it continued to a second day to come in for a band unfill. I also have pills to take to help stop vomiting. So, I really don't think you should worry that you've caused a slip or anything by one bad PB incident. Chances are, it's coincidental that you had this other problem.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
