Today's post:

Well we got some good responses so far from you all. How about we do follow up on this thread with each other? Weekly sign-ins would be great although a daily thread would be fine withe me too as I need daily and sometimes hourly encouragement....

At my highest weight I needed to loose 170 pounds and have lost 130 of it so far. I have hit a plateau for a while now. I know I need to increase exercise and decrease snacking between meals. Any more suggestions? I am gonna sit down real soon and make out a list of all the NSV and maybe that will help motivate me and others too.

Glad to meet all you other 100 pounds + fellow bandsters, to all you who have lost 100+ Congratulations Way to go..... For all you who still need to lost 100+ - you can do it!! Let us encourage one another.

Hope to hear back from all you 100+ club members really soon!

I'd like to join the -100lb club. I have a total of 145lbs (at least) to lose. I am currenlty down 67lbs in the past 6+months. Hopefully down 100lbs by my 1 year bandiversary.

I am part of the 100+ group. I think its a good idea because even though the entire group has so much to offer its nice to be able to talk to others who have more to work on! I am starting to struggle with plateaus so it would be nice to have others to talk to. I still have 60lb to lose until goal, so its going to be a struggle now. :) I would like to have lost 60-65kg (132 - 143lb) by my bandiversary in January, but I think that might be asking to much of myself.

I would be happy hitting my first mini-goal by my 1st bandiversary which would be 63lbs lost - I'm now holding steady at a 10lb loss since surgery mAY 24 - another 53 to go for mini-goal and 113 to go for my total goal - it is really nice to belong to a group where everyone has the same goal for 100lb loss or more

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
