I all, i have a few questions, i was fielledon monday and i dont think this has anything withthat as i was having this before -

I have a discomfort feeling in my stomache, below my sternu, but in my stomache, with a little pain and growling and gurlging lol sometimes witha wave of nausea.. wondering what is going on.. am i not eating enough maybe?

I have lost 22 lb since the band on 10-13 no weight loss this week yet- i cant eat alot i feel very full very soon, is it common to have discomfort from not eating enough .?

what are the symptoms of an ulcer or band slippage do you think i need to worry about that at this point? could it be heart burn? any and all advice would be appriciated.

thank you !

sue

Are you eating solid foods yet or are you still on the post-op diet?

Sounds like maybe you are experience hunger pains. If it persists you should probably let your doctor know just in case.

Thanks.. I did feel better after eating and the noises frommy belly went away lol -

now i am trying to figure out what the "full" feeling i am watching for is like.. After i eat i get this light pressure feeling right in middle of my breast bone..I am assuming that is where the band is and that feeling is that i am full....

i feel so pathetic not knowing when i am full and i think i am not eating enough --- i am only getting in like 500-600 cals a day...

I would go back to liquids for 12 hours then plan on really watching bite size and then really chew chew chew. You might have a little bit of swelling. Liquids won't hurt either way, but if you are still worried, call the doc.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
