Could not have went better. Whoo Hoo. CONGRATULATIONS!!! And welcome to the losers bench. Take things one day at a time. Don't be afraid to use your pain medication. Walk as much as possible to help with the gas pains. Any questions along the way be sure to ask. You should be feeling better in no time.

loserbob 11 Posted November 22, 2009 (edited) Hi, Ive been reading and learning alot on here. Lapbandtalk has been very helpful to me over the last 2 years(you probably dont know me because I dont write much) im not the best with computers. I completed all my test requirements, my drs. office called to tell me that i was app0roved by insurance but they reviewed my ekg and it was borderline abnormal and requested me to see cardiologist. Well this scared the sh@& out of me so I called my family dr. (he did my ekg) and he said my ekg was normal. My mother-inlaw is a nurse, she read the script and said it wasnt anything serious they are a very good hospital and want to take all necessary precautions. The reason i wrote all this is because i was on the fence about the surgery and this solidified my decision to do this. Its a little, no alot scary when your 38 years old and told you should see a cardiologist. When i met my lap dr., she told me they usually dont get people as healthy as me, so this is kind of a slap in the face so-to speak. I just want to thank everyone because when i question myself about surgery i come to this sight and it reassures me this is the right decision. Sorry its so long this is 2 years worth of thinking. thanks again and good luck to everyone. I was born and raised outside of Pittsburgh and have lived near OC, Md for many yrs now. But...Magee remains one of the best hospitals around!
