aminorharmony 0 Posted November 17, 2009 I am 54 days post op. I am coming up to my second fill in 3 days... I am great at home. I eat reasonably well, and I also eat a gluten and lactose free diet. BUT I work as a nanny every weekday from 3pm - 6pm and those few hours are :w00t::smile::thumbdown:TERRIBLE:thumbdown::scared2: TODAY i ate a king sized Kit Kat BAR, a banana muffin and maybe 20 salty crackers with spread and butter! WHY I DO NOT KNOW????????? I ate wayyyyyyy tooo much before I left home (naughty foods at well) but i thought nothing could be worse than what i eat at work.. so I have over eaten TWICE today. BECAUSE I CANNOT CONTROL MY EATING WHEN I AM AT WORK!! is it because I am lonely? stressed? anxious? shy? I HAVE NOOO IDEA BUT... I NEED HELP WHY IS THIS HAPPENING? WHY CAN'T I DEAL WITH IT? HOW DO I DO BEHAVIOUR CHANGES? I AM AT A LOW. AND A LOSS :crying: I JUST NEED FREEDOM - FREEDOM FROM THE OLD ME.
greytz 4 Posted November 17, 2009 It is most likely happening because of some emotion or nervousness while at work. In my opinion (mine only) I would think you may want to get some snack size bags and put some good things in it to go to when you get that craving. Are you allowed to put something in their fridge? If so, get some raw veggies and a little ranch dip or something like that to grab when you get the munchies. You can also put just a few cashews in a snack size back or a little fruit. Also, you may want to invest in some Protein Bars. I love the Atkins. Just be careful. You still have to count the calories and I only eat one when I get desparate and nothing else will do but it is better than the Kit Kat for sure. It is best obviously not to snack but if you have something available that is good for you at least you won't turn to the wrong things. You may want to seek the advice of a counselor or nutritionist as well. They may be able to help your head hunger.
