Got insurance approval today!!! Cloud nine!!

I checked my insurance website today and found I AM APPROVED for the lapband procedure!! =) I am in shock!

So immediately I called my surgeon's office to talk to the surgury coordinator. She never returned my call. GRRR!

Next step. I called my doctors office to speed up my Upper GI referral and found out my doc of 7 yrs left the practice. I am freaking out. She was helping me jump threw all these insurance hoops. Now because her replacement doesnt start until 11/16 I cant see a doc for my final surgical ok exam. I am utterly pissed. I have seen her every 2 weeks for last 2 months doing tests for this surgury. She never mentioned this to me. Its gonna screw my Nov band chances. I am traveling in Dec so I will now have to wait until Jan. I am heart broken.

I am thrilled I am approved. But at the same time my bubble was burst for 2009 opt date =(. I wanna cry....

Hand in there what should happen will just think how much closer you are now than you were. It will happen i am overly excited also i have my last appt next wednesday then meet with my surgeon.
