flower 2 Posted October 17, 2005 Just a generalized question my port scar is horizontal side to side but all my other scars are up and down does any one else have this I asked my doctor and they said the muscle goes up and down and that is why he cut like that just wondering because the up and down scars are more raised. let me know
HarleyNana 10 Posted October 17, 2005 My other scars, (had to look), are tiny and are barely horizontal, but they are.

Anwyn 0 Posted October 17, 2005 My scars are all horizontal too. Ive noticed them shrinking in width as the weight comes off, but they're still dark pink 3 months out.
giveyouthemoon 4 Posted October 17, 2005 Yup, me too. All five are horizontal. The port scar is still sizable but the other four are becoming dots.
princess_n_thep 2 Posted October 17, 2005 All Five horizontal here too. I suggest maybe looking at the scar stages thread. http://www.lapbandtalk.com/showthread.php?t=6117&highlight=scar
the best me 6 Posted October 17, 2005 All five of mine are horizontal. I'm 6 months+ out and they are still kind of a dark pink and a little raised. The further away from the port incision the flatter and lighter they are. But I'm pretty pasty white so I'm not surprised mine aren't fading as well as others. My port scar still gets itchy sometimes. It's past time for some Mederma bandaids. Gotta get to Wal-mart.
Nykee 13 Posted October 18, 2005 horizontal I saw a lady at the ymca showering who's scars were like wounds... they were like a half an inch wide.. it was kinda creepy.. mine are a thin line..
