There is a difference in what you know in your heart to be morally right and your actions.

Liberals and conservatives BOTH sin and do wrong every day.

The difference is that conservatives know they are wrong and understand that they are wrong and that they can't go through life without sinning. They have morals.

Liberals, OTOH, don't think they are doing anything sinful when they sin. They have no morals.

Well, I'm a liberal and I'm as moral as you. And most liberals that I know are moral people, too. We care about people and the planet we have been given to care for.

And the only republicans who know that they did wrong -ARE THE ONES WHO GOT CAUGHT. :tt2:

Your saying you're independant? Then you're either delusional or a liar.

I have asked you in the past to name one thing that the Republicans preach that you disagree with. I am challenging you again, name 1 thing that you disagree with in the republican agenda.

You can call yourself whatever......your true colors shine right through.

Dem's have no morals? Now that might be the stupidest thing I have ever heard you say. And I have heard many.

Patty, I am bumping up my challenge, name 1 thing that you disagree with from the republican agenda.

Well, the republicans have been in control for much of the last 50 years, why didn't they cut these programs? Sure it might have been unpopular but you keep yapping for it to get done, so why do you suppose it hasn't? After all, with all the power the republicans can do anything. Right? Isn't that what the teabagger candidates are pledging? Smaller government, fewer taxes, cutting programs, etc.. So if they believe it's possible, why hasn't it been done by the republicans when they had all the power? Do you really think it will just take DIFFERENT republicans to do it? LOL

I don't care who caused it. Rep or dem. This is the here and now! I know you don't like to concentrate on the here and now, cause you like to compare everything that Obama is doing to the things Bush has done, but you can't change the past.

I'm NOT a Republican. I am an Independent. I vote for the better of the 2 evils. That's all I can do. Right now, Obama is the one who has the reigns and I see him blasting the spending like no tomorrow. Why doesn't he stop?

Obama and Democrats Push Fed Debt over $13 Trillion pdf_button.png printButton.png emailButton.png

by Tom McGregor Fri, Jun 4, 2010, 11:50 AM $13 Trillion.jpgDoes President Barack Obama, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D.-Ca.) or Senate Leader Harry Reid (R.-Nv.) have any intention of holding down the federal deficit bubble that has just surpassed the $13 trillion mark as of Tuesday? Of course not, but American voters can at least sweep Mrs. Pelosi and Mr. Reid out of power with the upcoming mid-term elections this November.

The Washington Times reports that, 'the federal government is now $13 trillion in the red, the Treasury Department reported Wednesday, marking the first time the government has sunk taht far into debt and putting a sharp point on the spending debate in Capitol Hill."

By calculating down to the last penny, the debt amounted to $13,050,826,460,886.97 as of Tuesday, surging nearly $60 billion since Friday, the previous day for which statistics were released.

The debt problem does not bode well for Obama if he faces any conflicts with China. Beijing is the largest holder of U.S. Treasury Securities. To pay for ObamaCare, same-sex benefits for federal government employees, future stimulus spending, payments to the United Nations, pork-barrel projects and other government waste projects, the president must placate to the China Communist Party.

According to the Washington Times, "at $13 trillion, that figure has risen by $2.4 trillion in about 50 days since President Obama took office, or an average of $4.9 billion a day. That's almost three times the daily average of $1.7 billion under the previous administration, and led Republicans on Wednesday to place blame squarely at the feet of Mr. Obama and his fellow Democrats."

On Wednesday, the White House, spokesmen for the Democratic chairmen of the House and Senate budget committees are refusing to comment on-the-record about the debt catastrophe.

Anybody surprised that patty admires Michelle Bachman?

By most people standards Bachman is a complete and total wacko. Sure she has her followers. There are lots of wackos around for her to appeal to.

Her head is too big for her tiny shoulders. Figuratively speaking.

(whine) Obama is doing his own share of spending, and it is much more than any president we have ever had!!!!

WOW!! What hypocrisy!!! You have called me a racist a number of times. But I guess since a conservative did it - it doesn't count. That's the general consenses among the elected republicans - if they did something wrong it doesn't count or matter, it's only when the current democratic administration does it that it matters.

That's my first mantra: without hypocrisy the republicans would have nothing.

Healthcare is paid for, unlike bush's policies that took us from a surplus to a deficit - a fact that you keep ignoring.

And I know, there were never any payments to the UN, or pork barrel project or wasteful spending under bush. It all started under Pres. Obama. Oh, wait, it didn't - it just started to be criticized under Pres. Obama.

I didn't ask who caused it, I asked why hasn't it been "fixed" by the republicans? When they had all the power why didn't they make a smaller government, reduce spending, reduce the deficit, cut programs, ad infinitum, ad nauseum?

Can you answer that? Because if you can't they why would you believe any of the tea party candidates who say THEY can? What makes them any different?

It's not about being different. It's about making promises that you can't keep. Like telling the people that there would be no more crazy spending and that everything he okays will have the peoples okay and will be published for every eye to see (transparency)and that pork spending will be eliminated, and then not keeping ONE bit of his Word. The list of waste is below and He has NOT stopped ANY of it!!!!!

Again, I ask you - why didn't the republicans, when they had the power, create a smaller government, cut the deficit, reduce spending and make program cuts?

This is the agenda they and the teabaggers are running on. Are they going to be able to keep these promises? Because so far, the conservative republicans haven't been able to do any of this during any of the times they held all the power in the last 50 years, most recently under bush.

So, if we're talking about keeping promises, why didn't the republicans when THEY had the chance? They're big talkers now. They would do this differently and that differently - well they had their chance for 8 years and they royally effed up this country.

It's going to take awhile to clean up, but progress is being made.
