I cannot WAIT for the swelling to go down to see the contouring of my waist due to to the muscles being pulled in!!

I JUST added one after pic, you have to be a friend to view it, and it's in the during folder.

as for the pain, the TT and the Breast do not hurt...the Lipo area's....OUCH! I can only imagine had i had a LOT of lipo done! oh, and the fat injections into the but, that hurt since i have had to sit/lay down so much. it was like laying on golf balls! LOL i'm SURE it will be worth every bit of pain though!!! i have always had tailbone problems because my tailbone must have been fractured as a child and didn't heal correctly. even when overweight, it hurt to sit, without the weight, it was SO MUCH WORSE! i'm hoping the fat injections helps even just a little!

yes, the littles are still at my moms ane we are going to play it be ear as for when they are coming back. the original plan was for them to come back this weekend, but she said they can stay until Wed, possibly thursday, so we will see how i'm feeling by the weekend and go from there. i'm missing them like crazy, but i have to admit, i'm really taking advantage of taking my meds every hour i can, and getting as much rest as I can while they are gone.

each day, i feel a tiny bit better. by the end of the day, i'm totally DONE. my BACK KILLS me from walking haunched over all day.

but i would do it over again to have the results!!! i cannot wait to see what a month or 2 will look like if now looks as good as it makes me FEEL!!!

good luck to everyone that has just had surgery or about to. sorry i've not been around. Between resting A LOT from the meds and my computer went out (i'm on hubby's now....he just went buy me a new one, but it will probably be a week or 2 before it's all set up since the screen went out and he doesn't go back to work until next week. The IT at work is going to help him transfer everything.

thanks again for all the well wishes and i can't wait to keep sending updates!!!

It was great to read your post...I am thrilled with how well you are doing and am jealous about your tight muscles. My PS didn't do that because my port was in the way and he wouldn't touch it.

Rest up and I will look forward to more posts as you heal.

Mimi

yesterday i called my Dr.office to let them know that for 3 days in a row, i had a low enough output in my drains (and it was going down more with each day), so they let me have them out!! OH MY GOODNESS!!! what a difference that made! it's didn't hurt, it was a big, um, STRANGE feelings, but i lived through it without screaming, or hitting the nurse! lol

Ok, i have a question. the ONLY thing i had done to my thighs is at the VERY top (right under my vajvaj)because they touched a very little bit. WELL, my thighs, which have NEVER been big, are about three times the size the normal size! is that the swelling just working it's way out or is something wrong? it does not HURT AT ALL.

I'm feeling really good, i get tired really easy, understandably though. the tape under my breast and around the nipples make me want to scratch THROUGH my skin though! under my arms are very sore too. i did have a bit of Lipo done there to, so it will lay flat once the implants settle into place.

other than that, i still do not feel my boobs (from the front, only under the arms) or my tummy tuck!

i cannot wait until the swelling goes down and i see the final results!!!

Thank goodness, the swelling in my thighs are going down a little more each day!! I can still feel a little soreness when i've been sitting a while and get up. After a few steps, it's not bad at all.

the swelling under my arms is all that i still really feel. if i'm not doing anything, it don't feel it at all, but if i move them, i feel it....like i said, mostly just VERY sore feeling.

i'm watching the scale go down more and more each day....THAT is a GREAT thing considering one day (since surgery, with the compression garment, drains, and all...i saw 145!!! i about passed out!!!!

this morning, it was down to 133, with compression garment, clothes, had already eaten and all!!

i'm so impatient...i cannot wait for the swelling to go down!

I'm completely off of all my pain meds. this morning i took 2 tylenol just because i felt stiff when i woke up (i slept the ENTIRE day yesterday! my husband was so worried about me because i hadn't taken any meds, but i slept and slept and slept....then, other than an hour (i watched Ruby at 2 a.m. because he had recorded it for me) i even slept ALL NIGHT!!

today, i'm fine. don't know what that was all about other than i REALLY needed rest!

I added some new pics in swimsuits this morning to my "during album". (you have to be a 'friend' to see them).

I'm VERY happy!!! i cannot wait to see once the swelling goes down!

REST, eat healthy (it helps healing), drink lots of Water, REST, let others do for you.

i made sure i was VERY prepared for a month of not being able to do much. i shopped for a month, i cooked or bought things my hubby could cook easily for a month, i just wanted to make sure no matter how long it took to heal, i didn' t have to stress about it.

the only thing i forgot to do is get someone to come CLEAN for me!!!! 4 boys and a hubby....can you imagine after a 4-6 weeks what the bathrooms and such will be like?! LOL

you will be fine!!! GOOD LUCK!!!

So glad everything is going well. I hope this means you are happy with everything that was done. Any advice for me, my surgery is in 16 days. Preop appt tommorrow. Getting real scared!

I'm now 24 days PO.

i added some pics that i just took (so you will see the evening swelling...which is not bad, but i LOOOOOVE the morning when it's even flatter!!) If i haven't added you as a friend, just send a request and i'll add you. the album in private. They are in the during folder.

Tummy Tuck has being looking better with each passing day. still no problems and no pain.

the swelling under my arms around to my back is still there. i hope it goes away SOON!

Have i said how much i LOVE my belly button? i'm still having to clean it out and cover it but it's looking better everyday! my PS does such GREAT BB's!

my breast are feeling better each day too, slower pace (the sides...nothing else really hurt other than the extreme ITCHING!) they still feel high and tight, can't wait until they are settled!

around the areola has some places that i'm a little concerned about, but will call the dr. on monday if it continues to do this. (it has little spots that look like puss under the skin, several of the spots have popped and drained and have a little bit of blood under the skin now. my concern is that my port scar did something simular 4 months out and it left a darker spot on the scar in that one place. I don't want this to look like that.

i tried on some size 4's i had in my closet and they FIT!!!

no muffin top or anything!

i even wore them out the other day when we went shopping.

it's weird, the feel tight because the muscle repair makes you feel like you have a corset on.... but they weren't, i could put my compression garment on under them!

i still get tired really easy but i'm sure it doesn't help that i've had 2 kids sick for the past 2 weeks. The little one is waking up ALL NIGHT LONG, so i've not had more than a couple of hours of sleep at a time.

I'm planning to go back to working out (lightly) next week. I NEED it.....it's getting to me that i haven't done exercise in 4 weeks!

I cannot wait for a few months to pass to see what the results are going to look like after all the swelling and settling finishes!!!

Thank you, to both of you!

this morning, i was at my lowest weight yet...124! anything after this will be extra!

I got a fill yesterday, i think i still need more, but i'm going to wait a month before deciding. I was able to eat a scary amount of food when it was something i really liked or wanted, but at the same time, i don't want to be so tight that i'm having to limit way too many things that i can eat.

I'm hardly ever hungry, and when i do eat, the muscle repair has my belly so tight that i feel full quickly, but since my band only had a little, i was able to push it way too far!

what was everyone elses Dr. orders concerning compression garments? today, i went to the park with my little ones and didn't wear mine because i knew i would sweat like crazy (90 degree weather)and then the itching would start.

my belly felt sore until i put it back on and had it on for a while.

it's hard to believe it's 4 weeks today that i had my surgery!

one breast is still higher than the other by a tiny bit, i wake up feeling pretty swollen/stiff/sore, but after walking around for a couple of minutes, i usually feel better than the previous day.

my TT is doing fabulous...i have a few places that the scar is so tiny and faint that you can barely see it. it still feels lumpy to me, but not nearly as noticable as it was. I feel like the very bottom of my belly/top of the pubic area still looks really swollen, evenings are even worse. (i'd still take the way it looks now than how it did before ANY DAY! when i sit, not a stitch of skin touches my legs! WOO HOO!! THAT is AMAZING!)

Still treating the belly button, but loving the way it looks!

the 'girls' are healing nicely. i'm still swollen on the sides of my breast going back to under my arms.

i had planned to try to do a light work out today, but after 3 hours of walking around in the park with my little ones, i decided THAT was enough and i'll probably be too tired tomorrow (when i do a lot one day, they next day i feel worn out). Hubby is on Midnight shift, so i may just wait until next week to start.

Sounds like you are doing great!

Did your PS tell you to masage the scars?

Mine told me when I see him next Monday (2weeks 4 days post op) I hafta start massaging my scars so they dont heal lumpy or something...

I think it is fantastic that you are doing so well :-)

Four days post surgery. I am sipping as fast as I can and getting NO WHERE near the goal of 60 - 80 grams of protein or the 64 oz of liquids. I just feel FULL. I don't know if it can still be the gas build up (I would think by now that would be gone) but it is a struggle to drink. And so far I have not had the nausea or spasms and don't want to wander into that territory by pushing too hard with liquids. I about passed out today as it was my most "strenuous" day. Went from second story to basement for shower and I was sure I was going to pass out. Looking back on my last few days I have had a total of less than 1000 calories. Am I just not getting enough nourishment in me? Once again a friday where I can't get ahold of the doc until Monday rolls back around so I am hoping maybe someone here has some experience on how to keep energy going. I do have fibromyalgia too and that may be where some added fatigue comes into play. How did you all fair with the goals the week after surgery?

2 days until I fly out to San Diego to have my Bypass Surg. in Tiajuana Mexico. Not gonna lie, the nerves are starting to surface. I don't fear the surgery itself, or the fact that I'm traveling alone, but its the aftermath that I'm stressing about the most, after this 8 week wait. I'm excited to finally be here, but I am really dreading the post surgical chapter. I know its going to be tough, real tough and I think I'm just in my head to much now that the day i here. Wish me luck, Hopefully I'm one of the lucky ones, and everything goes smoothly. Cant wait to give an exciting update,. If there is anyone else have a June bypass or even a recent one, Id love to have someone to compare war stories with. Also, anyone near San Antonio Tx? See ya soon with the future me. 💜

I'm in Houston so kind of near you and had the sleeve in Dec. Down 61 lbs. Feeling better. Was definitely worth it. I hope the everything is going well for you. Update us when you can!

I am back home after my bypass surgery in Tiajuana. I'm post op day 4. Everything went great! I guess I'm one of the lucky ones who have not encountered much pain at all, no nausea thus far and I'm having no problem keeping down broths and water. Thank you for your well wishes. I cant wait to keep up this journey and have a chance at better health and simply better quality of life. I know there will be bumps in the road ahead, and everything won't be peaches and cream, but at least I have a great start so far. 😍

I am new here today... and only two weeks out from my sleeve surgery on the 23rd. I am amazed I have kept my calories down to 467 today so far... that leaves me almost 750 left for dinner and maybe a snack. This is going to be tough for two weeks... but I have to believe I can do it!

Hey everyone. I'm new here so I thought I should introduce myself. I am 53y/o and am scheduled for Gastric Bypass on June 25th, 2025. I'm located in San Antonio, Texas. I will be having my surgery in Tiajuana Mexico. I've wanted this for years, but I always had insurance where bariatric procedures were excluded. Finally I am able to afford to pay out of pocket.  I can't wait to get started, and I hope I'm prepared for the initial period of "hell". I know what I have signed up for, but I'm sure the good to come will out way the temporary period of discomfort and feelings of regret. I'd love to find people to talk to who have been through the same procedure or experience before. So I look forward to meeting you all. Hope you have a great week!

I'm so happy for you! You are about to change your life. I was so glad to get the sleeve done in Dec. I didn't have feelings of regret overall. And I'm down almost 60 lbs. I do feel a little sad at restaurants. I can barely eat half a kid's meal. I get adults meals often because kid ones don't have the same offerings at times. Then I feel obligated to eat on that until it's gone and that can be days. So the restaurant thing isn't great for me. All the rest is fine by me! I love feeling full with very little. I do wish I could drink when eating. And will sip at the end. Just a strong habit to stop. But I'm working on it! You will do fine! Just keep focused on your desire to be different. Not better or worse. But different. I am happy both ways but my low back doesn't like me that heavy. So I listened (also my feet!). LOL! Update us on your journey! I'm not far from you. I'm in Houston. Good luck and I hope it all goes smoothly! Would love to see pics of the town you go to for this. I've never been there. Neat you will be traveling for this! Enjoy the journey. Take it one day at a time. Sometimes a few hours at a time. Follow all recommendations as best you can. 💗

      2. Doughgurl

Thank you so much for your well wishes. I am hoping that everything goes easy for me as well. We don't eat out much as it is, so it wont be too bad in that department. Thankfully. Also, I hear you regarding your back and feet!! I'd like to add knees to the list. Killing me as we speak! I'm only 5' so the weight has to go. Too short to carry all this weight. Menopause really did a doosey on me. (😶lol) My daughter also lives in Houston. with her Husband and my 5 grand-littles. I grew up in Beaumont, so I know Houston well, I will be sure to keep in touch and update you on my journey. I may need some advice in the future, or just motivation. Thank You so much for reaching out, I was hoping to connect with someone in the community. I really appreciate it. 💜
