Hi Everyone

I just had my band placed last Thursday, October 29th. I live in Kingwood, TX (NE Houston) and Dr. Collier (in Conroe) is my doctor.

Now that I am 5 days out from surgery, I am starting to feel back to "normal". :thumbup: I am looking forward to this journey and will be looking for all kinds of support. This seems to be a very active board, so I am looking forward to getting to know everyone.

I know a few people who have lap-bands, but now that I am going through this myself, I feel oddly isolated. :thumbup: I was trying to read through some of the posts on another site and it was all horror stories that just scared me and made me wonder if I had done the right thing! I know that I have and that this will be a wonderful tool to help me reach my weight goals. I know that there are millions of success stories out there and I look forward to hearing about those.

I look forward to sharing my journey with everyone!

      The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

        Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
