Uh Oh! What just happened?

I am 5 days post op and am on 2 weeks of full liquids diet.

I was eating abut 1/4 Cup cream of potato Soup (not too hot and not too thick)...maybe I ate too fast or maybe the soup was too spicy....but all of a sudden I got a weird feeling - not sure how to describe it...kind of tingly all over. So I quit eating immediately and then a slight pain/pressure has begun between my shoulder blades...kinda the middle of my back....

What just happened? Was this a mini-PB situation? I haven't thrown up or anything, just still feeling tingly/weird/pain in middle of back about 1.5 hrs later.

I am staying upright just in case the gravity can help the situation.

Help!! What just happened? I will call my surgeon in the AM.

I'm no expert but....it sounds like you have gas! I had the same thing and the pain was alieviated with Gas X strips. I hope you feel better. I too am on the 2 weeks of full liquids and I suck at it. I just blew it this evening after doing so well all day. I am a bit mad at myself and promise to do better tomorrow!

Cruzlady: A PB is a productive burp.

Karkies: You probably have gas and you may have swallow too fast. Walking is the way to get rid of the gas plus some Gas-X strips. It will go away soon.
