Hi everyone, I'm new around these parts and will be banded on December 30th. I'm a nervous ball of energy, but incredibly excited as well.

Hi everyone, I'm scheduled for the 3rd at 7:30am. I was lucky my insurance company approved this. My doctor doesn't require any time of diet pre-op or any weight loss. I go on Wed. for an upper GI & gallbladder US. I'm so excited. Good Luck to all December Bandsters. I'll keep in touch.:confused:

I surely HOPE I'm keeping-up with everyone's dates! I can't help feeling like I've missed someone. We're at 111 December Bandsters now (by my count)... And starting tomorrow, we roll! I think I'll write the names of everyone getting banded on a particular day on a post it and then stick it next to my monitor. That way, I can see it throughot the day - to say a little prayer and send positive thoughts.

I also hope that everyone comes back here for moral support and to let everyone else know what their experience was, how they feel, etc. I think that'll be helpful (and comforting).

My husband is a big time worrier, so I'm trying to be nonchalant about this 'no big deal' 'procedure' (around the house)... But YES, I am VERY excited!!!... and nervous. Just last night, I was watching a show (The Locator - I cry every time) and the guy said, "everyone gets nervous when their life's about to change" and I thought, "yep, 'aint that the truth!"

so what was done at your pre op. I have mune on tuesday, My surgery date ia 12.07,2009 i was told no food 24 hrs before surgery only liquids, and then 2 weeks post op liquids only, broth, carnation instant Breakfast (sugar free) and only liquids ,good luck Larry

Hello Everyone! I have my pre-op appt 12/10 and my surgery is scheduled for 12/16. I look forward to being able to see what others are experiencing and hopefully share some of my experiences as well. Good luck everyone!

It's official! Except for weekends and holidays (Christmas Day and New Years Eve), at least one of us December Bandsters is being banded every day this month - right up until 2010! There's a lot of nerves and excitement on this thread!

Our thoughts are with Electrawoman today. And as tbird mentioned (above), with RandaPanda, TheCutestFatty and terriamn tomorrow (you guys are gonna do great!) Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are very BUSY days as well.

Yay! SO excited for you! I'm two days behind you, so will be reeeally interested to hear how you're doing afterward. Depending on our level of committment, our lives could change significantly from this week forward. Imagine the possibilities! Good luck to you.
