I was banded on Wed the 21st and came home on Thurs., but just didn't have the energy to get on the computer! I am recovering nicely, but just so darn tired with the lack of calories. How's everyone else doing? Tori--how are you???

Glad to hear you are doing well! When do you get to move to full liquid? Hopefully that will give you some more energy then.

Congratulations!!! So happy to hear everything went well for you!! I agree that you should give it a few days to let the anesthesia wear off. It took me about 3 days until I felt like it was out of my system. And don't forget- you still had surgery, you won't feel back to normal for a little bit. But every day you will feel a little better. Keep us posted as to how you are doing.

You're doing good! I was banded 08-04-09 and came home feeling tired and sleepy. I would move around a while, and nap a while. It's nice to know that others here went through the same stage as I, so it sounds like a normal stage. As the others have said, give it a few days and you'll feel stronger every passing day.src="http://tickers.TickerFactory.com/ezt/t/wz7PEQQ/weight.png" border="0" alt="" />

I am doing ok~! I think I am ready for mushies. ALthough we are allowed to have creamy lowfat Soups, cottage cheese ( i have never eaten that before) etc. I am tired of the shakes and sugary taste to them. I like more salty foods. I did grind up a small soft boiled egg almost like a deviled egg and i ate it fine. I shouldnt do this for 3 more days but wanted something different. I am losing about 2 lbs a day and i am only drinking about 1 shake a day so i felt like i needed something. i know i know bad me !!! How are you doing?

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
