Recommended Posts

Hello everyone, I havent been around in a while, this march will make 2 years sence i had the Ap large band put in. My weight on the first day i went to my surgeons office was 465 lbs. My weight on band day was 387 lbs. weight when discharged from hospital was 402 lbs.made it back up to 422 lbs by 1st fill. Weight today is 375 lbs. I havent seen my dr in almost a year (she moved out of state) Im suposed to have 7.5cc in the band but i think she missed the port on the last fill of 1cc. Now for the question How can I PB sevrel times at each meal and still not be loosing like i should be? by the time i get done filling my Walmart bag up it looks like its just as much as the 4qt bowl i put in.

You really must go back to your doctor. There are a bunch of reasons why you might not be losing as much weight as you should be. They should do an esophogram to rule out slippage, erosion, etc. Maybe a teeny tiny unfill will help. Are you sticking to the rules...protein first, small bites, chew really well? Keep us updated on how you are doing!

Big Tom:

You need to find a new LapBand doctor to review your situation with you. You shouldn't be pb'ing all the time and it may be causing you harm.

You can probably find a new LapBand surgeon here on this forum.

Best wishes to you and your future band success.

Sue

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
