First question - I'm sure many of you have or had thighs that rub together - like me . Now that they're not rubbing, will the dark coloring fade over time?

Also, I'm losing weight; however, it all appears to be coming from my bust and behind.

Second question - will the rest of my body finally be in proportion to these shrinking areas? Yes, this may seem like a stupid question to some...

Thanks in advance for your responses.

I have absolutely no clue as to the answers to your questions. It is impossible to predict.

Good luck though!

Glad you asked that question, I've been wondering the same thing! I had my band put in on August 10th as well, while I havent lost as much as you have, I seem to be loosing my butt and my boobs instead of the parts I really want to loose, my arms and belly. As far as the dark spots, I dont have any but I'm sure they will fade...Good Luck to you!:seeya:

Hey Cherish...congrats on your weight loss so far.

As far as your questions go...#1. Thigh discoloration. I remember looking there (at about the same stage you are in now) and noticed the strange color. After a few months, my discoloration disappeared.

#2. Proportion of body. I've posted in other threads on how disappointed I was by the fact that I lost weight face first, breasts, arms, legs and even at 20lbs b/4 reaching goal I was still carrying around so much through the middle and lower belly. Yep, it all evened out. Just be patient. See what you end up with when you reach goal (actually give it a year for things to tighten and settle)

Good luck!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
