plain 12 Posted October 16, 2009 Hey Cindy, you might find better results if you post this question in the "local support" subforum on the main page. That section breaks areas down geographically. Good luck!

Cindy.B 0 Posted October 19, 2009 Hello, I would love to be your buddy. I am struggling with weight loss on the band. Since I got banded I've only lost 10 pounds and have 65 to go. My first fill was October 9th, but it really didn't do much, so I am returning this Friday. I am hungry all the time. I want your opinion, do you think if I get the correct restriction that I will lose the weight? I'm wondering if I am going to be a failure at this. I had to change doctors because the local guy was a jerk, so I went for about 10 weeks before I got my first fill. This worries me also because the new doc said that the best chance for weight loss is in the first 18 months. Am I just a bag of nerves or what? My email address is unrealville@yahoo.com if you want to reply that way. Thank you for being my buddy. Cindy Bales
june09bandit 0 Posted October 19, 2009 Cindy, I believe it is a matter of restriction. I felt exactly like you - could eat whatever and in whatever quantity I desired. I was barely losing at all. I was banded on June 4, 2009. I had 3 fills, then a complete unfill and had to start all over. So.. I had my last fill on 30 September. For some reason, it all kicked in last week - 2 weeks after the fill. At long last, I think I feel what everyone else has been talking about. I feel full after a few bites, and don't really have much of an appetite over all. It's such a dramatic change, I have a hard time explaining it. I think I've lost 5 pounds in those 2 weeks. Just be patient and keep seeing your doc on a regular basis. The restriction will come...
