Restriction VS. Stuck!!

Recommended Posts

Okay so I have had 3 fills so far. 6ccs in a 9cc band. Its seems as if I had good restriction right after my last fill. Now, It takes more to satisfy me when I eat. Even though I chew, chew, chew when I eat I still seem to get stuck ALOT! Some foods I know I cannot eat B/C they get stuck everytime. But lately I can eat a certain food one day and not get stuck and then the next time I do get stuck! I guess I am confused about whether or not I have overeaten at some time and stretched my pouch but still get the stuck feeling at times....I dunno? HELP!:o

I know that there are also days for me where I can eat something and the next day I can't. Its like my band plays tricks on me. I think you should talk to your surgeon and see what the problem is, but I don't think it is because you have stretched your pouch. Keep your head up and see your doc. Sending postitive vibes your way!

I still remember one of my favorite threads here: My LapBand is a Fickle Bitch.

At the time, I didn't understand it - but now I do. And so do you

As time passes, you will probably discover some patterns. I can't eat much in the morning. Warm coffee or tea will help loosen things up for me.

I have the same exact problem. One day food feels like it gets stuck earlier in the day but as late afternoon approaches I get hungry and it's like magic I can eat again. I won't get another fill for awhile because I'm thinking if I do I won't get anything down. When I can eat sometimes I'm so hungry I can eat 2 cups which my nutritionist said is to much. I don't want to stretch my pouch so I'm not sure if getting another fill is good or bad. I'll let my Dr. determin if he thinks its a good idea or not. So to answer your question I believe alot of us have the fickle band when we get close to our sweet spot.
