KatieGrace 0 Posted October 12, 2009 Hi Guys! I am brand new to all this, so bear with me. I am just starting out and haven't even attended my seminar yet. But I went to see my PCP to get his opinion/recommendation and start a supervised diet just in case my insurance company requires it. He had some labs done and it turns out that I have low thyroid function. Will a hypothyroid diagnosis mess with insurance approval?
AbbeMac 0 Posted October 12, 2009 I don't think so. I have low thyroid also and while I haven't been approved yet, I don't think that will hold anything up. I do know that the band will not resolve the thyroid issue like it will with diabetes though.
sdh5463 0 Posted October 12, 2009 Hi, I agree, I do not think it will affect your insurance approval however, it MAY give you a co-morbidity factor. This is something you may want to ask when you attend the seminar. Good luck!!!
