Sammieee_x3 0 Posted October 11, 2009 So today is my first day at lapbandtalk.com and I'm really excited to actually be able to talk to people that can relate with what I'm going through(hopefully). Heres my story, I'm only 16 years old. I actually got my lapband a day or two before my 16th birthday. I'm currently 6 months post op and I keep hearing oh well you should be down 50-60 pounds by now and yet I'm only down 10. I have a large band and so far I'm at 11 and they said it might not start kicking in until I get to 15. I go once every two weeks so I've been very annoying. I've been over weight for years and I told "oh my god! I'm finally going to be pretty and happy but most importantly healthy!" but so far it has just been more and more waiting. bellaboo 0 Posted October 11, 2009 Welcome and hope that you find lots of information from this site. I have. Don't worry about others weight loss, just keep you eye on your goal. I know I get flustrated with everyone at work constantly asking me how much I have lost, especially when it seems that the weight is just not coming off.
