So I didn't tell my soon to be ex-husband that i am having this surgery. He just called and said that his unit (he is in the coast guard) will be stationed in my area around 10/26 and will be here for 2 weeks. At which time, he wants me to drive my daughter to him few days a week so he can see her..Well, my surgery is on 10/27. Crap.

I still don't want to tell him and never will tell him because he just sucks...but i don't want to keep my daughter from seeing him while he is here either. and he has no way of getting to me either.

so do i just tell him that I am sick that week and can't drive her? grr.

ideas please!

Hi,

I wouldn't tell him anything.. I would just tell him the days that you can bring her to see him. You should be fine to drive her within a couple of days from surgery. I know I was fine to drive the next day if I wanted to. You could tell him that you are having "female related" surgery, that always works with guys.. he doesn' t need to know the details!

Worst case maybe for the first visit someone else can drive your daughter? Just a thought...

I am sure it bugs you that you had your schedule all figured out and a wrench is thrown into it! It will work out though...

Thank you for that! You are right - I should just tell him when i can do it and not when he wants to do it. He has this habit of doing things when its convinient for him but because of my daughter I try to do whatever benefits her ..not him.

As long as i am ok to take her out on Haloween - I will be ok. I can make him wait till then

Thanks!!!!
