Unforgettable 0 Posted October 19, 2009 I get hiccups! That usually reminds me that I should have stopped eating one or two bites early. It's kinda nice because it has helped me learn when to put the fork down.
StarsZie 3 Posted October 22, 2009 Any Idea on how to stop/ avoid or control the gurgles? My daughter laughs at me all the time! Embarrassing when eating out with adults though... You can look at this from wikipedia: Borborygmus - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia There really is no way to stop it... it's just normal digestive noises. Realizing we seem to get it much more often since being banded I think it may have to do with not chewing as much as we probably should before swallowing thus letting larger pieces of food enter the digestive system. Hope this helps.

knwitham 0 Posted October 23, 2009 My warning sign is when my chest gets tight...so strange! I always get the hiccups after I PB though, so it's interesting to see so many other ppl get them too!
gatorgal 0 Posted October 23, 2009 I get the hiccups, too. The gurgling comes within minutes of pushing away from the table. Both of these are much more pronounced the closer I get to my sweet spot. I think I'm almost there but am waiting for a few more weeks to schedule a fill as I don't want to be too restricted.
