I am NOT looking to cause trouble This is for me to look at my diet. (not a good one!) October 7th 10:30 am......woke..went grocery shopping and to doctors found out I lost 31 pounds in 33 days. 1:00.....3 ounces OJ (non sweetened in a can) 3:45......whole can tomatoe Soup (with milk) and 6 ounces of milk. (1%) 6pm.....6 ounces OJ 11pm .........prolly 20 nacho chips with 3 ounces of jar cheese sauce and prolly about 1/4 cup of layered dip...(nothing low fat or diet) 6 ounces of milk. 1% A slice of rasberry cheesecake... and 6 ounces of milk 1% (kid brought it around.. dingdang it) 1/2 cup lite lime sherbert (bought it and wanted a taste) 12 ounces OJ (unsweetened) 2:45am....3 fish fillets (breaded.. junk kind, frozen) 10 to 15 cups (6 ounces each) October 8th 10am............3 ounces unsweetened OJ 12:20............two bites popcorn ball, 4 circus animal Cookies, 2oz. oj 4:30.............large KFC mashed potatoes and gravy, 3/4 small root beer float. 8pm.............Hot Pocket (lean) spit out the bread. 12 ounces OJ 9;30..........4 drinks full sugar grape juice. 11pm........11 nacho chips, 1/4 cup layered bean dip, 2 ounces cheese sauce. 12 ounces chocolate milk (1% AND NESQUICK, sugar free.) 12pm......1 cup lite lime sherbert 1pm........12 ounces 1% milk, 6 ginger snap Cookies also.... 3 drinks OJ, two jelly halloween candies.< /p> Booooooooooooooo Hisssssssssssssssssss This cant continue.. La_madam 20 Posted October 9, 2005 Nykee, lots of liquids calories in there girl...have you thought of replacing some of those sugary liquid calories with Protein Drinks, atleast you would be getting in your Protein while drinking the liquids. I understand you are too tighr and this is why all the liquids but by adding protein will only help in your weight loss and you will not be loosing lean muscle mass, your intake does not look like 60 grams of protein by any means..losing weight without eating adequate protein only makes us lose lean muscle mass which in the end makes us flabby. Anwyn 0 Posted October 9, 2005 Hi Nykee, First of all, congratulations on your weight loss! It's a great idea to write down your diet. I've never been good at keeping track of my intake (too lazy). I don't think you need to worry about drinking too much milk. The only problem is that it won't make you full, but it's definitely a healthier choice than juice. La Madam is right - you really need to get in more Protein. Try putting a scoop of Protein powder in your milk. You've mentioned in previous threads that you have some health issues. If you're tired a lot, not enough Protein is probably the reason... I know you're trying to get more solids into your diet, but Liquid Protein is better than not enough protein. Nykee 13 Posted October 9, 2005 thanks for the support. I will go research Protein needs .. does it need to come from a certain source? I had 150 grams of Protein on Friday I had maybe 60 on saturday. I drink alot of milk (its 10 grams per 8 ounces) and yes I drink at least 6 of those a day. Anwyn 0 Posted October 9, 2005 You're right - I doubt you need Protein powder if you're drinking that much milk. I didn't realize you were drinking 6 glasses of milk a day... I really don't know if Protein needs to come from a variety of sources... If I were you, I'd show your nutritionist a print out of your diet thread after a few days and get his/her opinion. Theoretically, I'm sure you can live on Liquid Protein and vitamin/mineral supplements forever, it just doesn't sound like very much fun. But as long as the nutritionist is happy, and you're not feeling deprived, and the weight is coming off... Of course, I'd still like to see you get an unfill (ducking to avoid shoes)... I am asked for it.. right now its too embarrassing. I already know whats wrong with it and what to do to make it better.. Its just actually doing it thats the problem. Tonight.. I go to a pizza party for my neice today at noon, (not possible to have pizza at this point) there will be like her grandma there and stuff like that.. So its really my first time going out and eating when I cant eat.. My plan is to put a slice on my plate and pick at it.. so no one thinks like I am not eating on purpose (or pretending like I dont eat) I hate pop and beer... I wonder if they will have milk or juice? I cant really drink that much milk and juice at noon, well sometimes I can.. It would be cool if they had tomatoe soup..lol Then I would look like a dork and make my banding like all obvious its not a secret but EVERYONE is watching to see if I have lost weight.. Plus I am gonna go through my clothes and see what shows my weightloss... cuz my regular clothes sure dont. luckily I aint very sociable.. usually (cept with boys.. they dont count) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Kathy473 1 Posted October 10, 2005 Well, pizza is a hard thing to deal with...I ordered pizza the other day for my kids and I picked off the cheese and that wasn't that bad. I noticed how much milk that you drink in a day, have you tried eating cottage cheese instead of maybe a glass of milk? I know some people do not like but it could be a break from the milk just to have a change and still get some Protein in, or maybe even a piece of cheese.
