Amy Stew 0 Posted September 30, 2009 I know some start early, but I don't know if I should be going now. All of the stitches and glue are gone from my incisions and I am about a month into being banded. My first fill is Friday. Should I maybe try the gym now? I live on an air force base, so it's free. My friend does these Zoomba dancing classes and they look like they work the core...I just don't wanna hurt myself. I sometimes feel sore from bending too much. Mimilou2004 13 Posted September 30, 2009 Hold off til you get clearance from your doc before doing ab/core work. Just to make sure your port is firmly attached. Mimi

So_it_goes 0 Posted October 1, 2009 Hello! I started back at the gym 2 weeks after surgery. I was on Clear Liquids for the first 2 weeks...which made me nervous to get back into my workout. From what I have read... jaciqltz is correct, Walk, walk, walk. I prefer to sweat in the gym. So, the treadmill is a great way to start. It is wise to take it easy at first. Build up... Good luck!
