I thought my incisions would have been lower than where my doctor went in. I have about 7 cuts and I have three across where my bra goes. How am I suppose to put a bra on? Luckily I'm off of work for a week, but I am rather large chested and my boob seems to be irritating one incision spot. Any suggestions?

The only advice I have is to check with the nurse at your doctor's office and see what other patients have done in the past. If this is his usual technique other patients would have experienced the same thing I would think.

My highest incision is below my bust line right in the middle and my bra never interfered with it so I'm afraid I'm not much help.

As sexy as this sounds, I kept my tshirt tucked under my breast to keep from having skin on skin contact. I wore a bandaid to one doctor's appointment and was scolded - he said no band aids - they don't let air in to the incision. He recommended a sanitary napkin attached to the bra.

I went to the store and tried on bras until I found a couple that did not have underwire and they were a lot more comfortable. Not very supportive, but better than nothing!

I too wear a light silky shirt as an undershirt so that I can tuck it under my bra. But they should be healed by the time you go back to work. Let the girls free this week

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
