Gas in afternoon

I get terrible gas build-up around 2pm when I am at work. i sit all day at work, when I am at home I don't get it so much. Gets to the point where my upper stomache starts to get hard and then I get pain in my left shoulder area. I was banded on 8-11-09. Anybody else with this problem? I take gas-ex but I can't do that every day for the rest of my life. Maybe the food is not staying in the new stomach long enough, I had my first fill last month, about 6cc's. Food stays in there for about 1 hour then I am starving again. HELP!!
