My doc did not allow cottage cheese or low/no fat ricotta until the soft/mushy stage post-op, definitely not liquid pre-op.

I was allowed cottage cheese on my "full liquids" phase. It was a life saver for me as it was something that I could chew. I would say that you will want to chew it well, but I think you'll enjoy it and the extra Protein that comes with it.

I was allowed cottage cheese. Get "small curd" kind and chew it up. I had no problem with cottage cheese and it was a nice break from the sweet taste of the shakes.< /p>

Thank god! I cannot take anymore sweet stuff and I am STARVING, FAMISHED! I think if I could just add cottage cheese and eggs, I would be ok.... And I have lost a pound a day since surgery, I need more nutrition!
