I am now in a size 11/12 juniors. I'm so stoked!!

I even got into an addidas jacket I haven't worn in years. I'm big into sports and have a ton of sporty clothing I haven't been able to wear and now I can!

That is AWESOME!!! Congratulations!!!:scared2:

I have a bin full of Adidas/Nike matching pants/jacket sets, I love them!!! I can't wait to get into them.. it will be a while for me yet, but they are ready and waiting!! Although, I am mad that I left a jacket to my favorite Adidas set on a plane several years ago.. guess I'll have to go buy a new set to replace it when I get there!! :)

Enjoy!!!

Wow..way to go. I know how good you feel. Just one question if you don't mind. Your ticker says you weight 172 and you say you are in a 11/12 juniors. How tall are you? I way 175 and am only in a 16 in womans. I am short so you have got to be tall to be at 172 and in that small of a size. Now don't get me wrong. I'm not calling you are liar by any means, just wondering how much taller you are than I am.

I'm 5'3" so i'm pretty short. I've been in a 14 for several weeks, and i'm having to use a belt to keep them up. However, i'm big into sports. Maybe I have more muscle now? Since I started working out the way I have been, my weight has been slowly going down, but the inches have come off. Muscle weighs more than fat...

I am 5'2, in May I was a 14 Cato Jeans, not sure what the weight was. Last month at 188 I was in a size 12 Faded Glory Stretch jeans. Now I am 184 and the legs are a little loose. I am NOT a gym bunny, so I need a lot of firming. I see the inches go down before I see numbers drop from the scale. I don't think I will ever do "juniors", I'm to curvy, misses yes. The junior stuff is cut for the young without real body parts. Much depends on how you carry your weight (body shape). I am lucky that I have always been well portioned and its coming off that way.

I recently had labs done 6 weeks after surgery.

I stopped taking my cholesterol meds two weeks before surgery because the prescription ran out and I knew the surgery would make a difference.

My cholesterol is normal. Good is up, bad is down, total is normal. Triglycerides are lower than they have been since I've been having the test done.

Stopped taking my metformin because I can't swallow them (they are time released). My A1C came down from 6.4 to 6.1 and I know that once I get a full 3 months to measure, it will be normal. My sugar is around 105 no matter when I take it.

I'm still on my BP medicine because the docs aren't ready for me to give that up yet. I had it measured at work last week, it was 105 over 62.

Life is good. I'm down 29 lbs since surgery six weeks ago.

Gotta love that band!

I am 5'6"ish and I weigh about 162. I am in an 11/12 juniors as well. I just bought my first pair of size 11 juniors jeans. I am in a 10 regular. Although, I will say it depends on the cut of the clothes, sometimes I have to buy a 12 regular...

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
