jtracy8460 0 Posted September 25, 2009 I really want to have the lap band surgery but my insurance does not cover it, and I'm having trouble finding a loan. I have been to a seminar and made an appointment to get started with a doctor's office but was turned down for a loan because my husband is laid off. He works temporary jobs for family and has other income and his house is paid off so it doesn't make sense to me. Does anyone have any ideas for me?
Humming Bird 275 Posted September 25, 2009 I used Health One for my loan. It is 0% interest for 6 months and then is a fixed rate of 10% after that. I am trying to pay off as much as I can in the first 6 months, then I may transfer the balance over to a low interest major credit card I have. The interest on that is 5.2%. What will be your total cost for the surgery? I used Dr. Kirshenbaum in the Denver area. He only charges $9950 for everything. Many people travel there because they are self pay. Do you have a major credit card that you could charge $10,000 on?
ParrotheadCathy 0 Posted September 25, 2009 I financed mine through Care Credit. Capitol One also has a medical financing arm.
