mbranham0306 0 Posted September 24, 2009 What kind of Vitamins does everyone take? I've been feeling tired, dizzy and just blah the last week or so and when I called the surgeons office, they asked if i was taking the bariatric vitamins. I'm not. I tried them and OMG how nasty tasting they were! I ordered them online and paid quiet a bit for them but they were just awful. Now I'm taking the VitaCraves. I also take my Calcium pills everyday. Anyway, does everybody take the bariatric vitamins? Thanks for your help!
kiz 1 Posted September 24, 2009 I take Centrum chewables (or a generic), Calcium and liquid Vitamin B12. I take Vitamin D drops that you add to your drink in the winter when I'm not getting as much sun.

ThinAli 0 Posted September 25, 2009 I actually just started taking Vitafusion. They are gummies in the adult Vitamin area. They come in Calcium, Multivitamin, Vitamin C & D, and Omega 3. There are others but they weren't at my target. I enjoy them and they are a little bit of a treat when I take them.
mellygirl 0 Posted September 25, 2009 I take a Target brand prenatal Vitamin (not pregnant) and a Citrical petite.

amwash23 1 Posted September 25, 2009 I take the flintstone complete Vitamins, the majority of the values have 100% for adults so they work just fine for me. My BFF takes them too and she hasn't even had WLS.
Unforgettable 0 Posted September 25, 2009 I am taking the Bariatric Advantage chewables...I'm 2 months postop and am completely done with them!! I decided next time I go to the store I'm going to get a different kind because they are just gross to me now. Thankfully, I don't have any problems swallowing big horse pills despite having great restriction. But I may get the Flinstones because, let's be honest, they taste great lol My only concern is that my nutritionist told me about research she did that showed that the bariatric advantage had a 70% absorption rate. She said compared to some of the other ones, like Centrum, their absoprtion rates were only around 40%.
KartMan 58 Posted September 25, 2009 I take a GNC Mega Men Sport Vitapak every morning and a L-Glutamine Capsule before and after working out.
xemmaleighx 0 Posted September 25, 2009 i also take the vitafusion gummies and i love them. they have no Vitamin taste whatsoever and don't bother my stomach like most Vitamins do. still on the chewable caltrate though for my Calcium but they don't bother me as much as the chewable vitamins did. foul tasting stuff they were... NurseMelly 0 Posted September 25, 2009 I take the Flintstone chewables. Mainly, because my kids take those too, so we just buy a big bottle. I would be more concerned about the Vitamin I take, if I would of had a malabsorption surgery. I still eat plenty of food with a band and absorb at the same rate I did prior to surgery. I'm not really sure why all these doctors hype up the need for special Vitamins. I just had my labs done and everything was WNL.
