It depends. Are you talking about 1/2 can soda? A can of soda holds 14 FL OZ (12 Fluid ounces.) That's the same as 355 mL. Divide that in half.

Hey, stop reading my mind. We sent that at the same time. It depends on how much the can holds. It it 8 oz is 64 drams or 3840 minms or 226g

I've never heard of a weight called "grammers"

We can't answer your question because there are so many different sizes of cans. There are little bitty cans that just have a few ounces and cans that are a gallon size.

You have to be more specific. Sorry. Do a google search on "weight conversion"

I think she wants conversion - ounces to grams. Half a Cup = 4 ounces = 1 quarter of a pound.

4 oz = 113.40 grams according to the conversion site I went to based on the Avoirdupois ounce. If you use Troy ounces - 4 oz converts to 124.41 grams.

:]

Google freaks: Go to Google.com and type in something like "grams in a cup" or "ounces in a pint" or whatever you want and it will give you the mathematical conversion!

LMBO that was fun and funny. I never say grammers or drams until Pink Mary mentioned it yesterday. Then I gave my neighbors kids their medicine and looked at the measuring cups and drams was on it. Pink Mary where are you from. Is that metric measurement.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
