A lot of people on here use the daily plate or fit day and seem to like those, I am sure there are others out there as well.

My friend has an iphone too and she is able to play around with her WW too. True you have to pay for WW but I have tried Dailyplate and was never able to really get into it.

However, maybe it was just my feelings at the time. I never wanted to start doing journaling. Oh well, WW isn't really all that much either. It costed me 50 to start up for 3 months and will be 16.95 every month thereafter (paying up 3 months at a time). I'll see how I feel when my subscription comes up.

I have used the daily plate, fit day and weight watchers all at one time or another and loved them all. The only one I didn't like was spark people, because I received so many emails from them that it drove me crazy.

Yep you're right! The Sparkpeople is the one I used before! I couldn't remember the name of it. However I think Once my WW subscription runs out I'm going to journal with Daily Plate.

I love the idea of food journals to keep track of calories, however, it is hard for me to maintain. I dont eat a lot of processed or packaged food, which has clear calorie contents, so much as I make my own food from recipes using whole foods, fruits and vegetables. Also I dont measure them. 1 large bell pepper, 1 medium bell pepper, handful of shrimp, half an onion, then I split it with my BF and have left overs for the next day. By the time I have entered in all of the individual ingredients, its been way too much time, and so I just dont ever bother with it again.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
