Where is everyone? I hope you are all too busy exercising to give us an update and not because you are all frustrated in bandster hell!

Juniper?

Unforgetable?

Bobbie?

that's all I can think off the top of my head...

Everyone else?

Seriously, hope everyone is doing well....

I'm still here....just really busy lately. I haven't had much time to post.

I finally had my first fill (& I have to wait 8 weeks for another!), and it seems to help some. I am losing weight, but ever so slowly. I am so close to getting to ONEderland. That will be a great milestone for me. Haven't seen that in a while!

Anyway, before I had my fill, I could eat anything. I mean ANYTHING! Now, I notice I am having a harder time with bread, and I am starting to have to slow down and chew more. Had a couple of stuck episodes. I had a couple before, but they were over quickly. Had one on Saturday that went on for about an hour. No matter what I did, it just stayed there. I sure don't want to do that again, but I have to remind myself to eat slowly and chew and chew and chew!

I hope everyone is doing well. I've been kind of following all you 7/7 bandster sisters, and haven't heard much bad, mostly good stuff. I hope that means we are on our way to HEALTHY!!!!

Happy Monday. I am going to post my weight in the weigh in thread. I've not been very consistent about that, but I am going to do better!

Hola! I have been MIA for awhile...they changed something with the firewalls @ work and it was a restricted site for awhile! :smile2:

Doing well! I have signed up for a 5k this saturday and another the following saturday. I have had 2 fills now...man do they hurt! But I haven't had any issues with the PBs, port pain, or bandster hell...and I am trying to be optimistic that I wont!:bored:

The hardest thing for me lately has been eating habits...when I get stressed and busy during the day I tend to forget to eat and then am starving when I get home. And work has been BANANAS!! So I am trying to get better and remember to eat lunch and drink my Protein Snacks...this really is a complete lifestyle overhaul and I'm still proud of me - and ALL of you - for accomplishing what we have so far, even if we screw up once in awhile

Hi!!! I'm here - i was posting all over the place at one point..i wondered how everyone was too~~~I had been voicing my frustration at things going soooo slowly..up down up down by a lb or so....

Anyway...i got my 2nd fill this afternoon...i have an 11cc band..first fill was 5cc - today he put in 2 more cc's. The good thing is...he told me not to wait 6 weeks..that if i need to come in at 4 weeks, to do so - so i did schedule 4 weeks out. If i see after the next few weeks that the 2nd fill is working, i'll hold off and put the appt off - but at least its made.

I keep thinking at 7cc's in an 11cc band..you would think i'd feel something...lets hope so!

I guess i expected to eat..and then feel very full and unable to eat any more...and i just have never felt that.

Get this..the other day i went to red lobster..and for the first time since 6/23, i wasnt very good - i had 2 of their cheesy killer bisquits...1/2 of my shrimp caesar salad (they're big there)...a couple of motzarella sticks...doesnt that seem like wayyyy to much to be able to eat????

Luckily i was at the fair all that day--very active..i didnt gain..lol.

Hi, I'm here too. Been MIA for a while. But doing ok. Had a few complications and upsets, but hopefully everything is fine now! I too find I can eat too much. I don't get a 'full' feeling. Maybe that's my problem. Never really had itbefore, hense the eating problem.... hope all you other bangsters are well... will be back more regularily soon.

Promise!

Brandie

I don't think I've posted in any of the July 09 threads. Anyway, I'm having trouble remembering to eat slowly. Ever since my fill on 9/10, I've had small PB episodes almost every day, even on Soup, which had some tough meat in it. I went up a bit when I ran out of some of my meds, but now I'm back to where I was, down 69.3 pounds. I'm eager to get more recipes and plan better, so I can use the crock-pot more often.

Good luck everyone!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
