the scale says today: 225 lbr (102 kgr)

i lost 40 lbr (18 kgr) so far.

from the 1st week i stopped snoring,

i don't have reflux, i'm doing my works without feeling breathless,

my clothes looking suggy but i do not buy any new yet.

i had menstruation last month without meds!

my face skin looking better.

i should Celebrate today, but i can't, i'm not happy with

my weight loss, i would be happy if i was at least (99 kgr)

218 lbr today, that was my goal ...

i'm sooo sad sad.gif

my husband says that i do not eat enough, i try to keep RNY rules,

using my band..i don't know what else to do to lose this

weight that darken my soul sad.gif

something missing from my life and i can't understand whats this..

Oh Maria, don't be sad! You have done so well. I read your post and thought, oh in 3 months I could be 18 kilos lighter. That would be more than I could dream of.

I hope you feel better soon.

Big Smiles

Theresa

Maria, the peace you seek is right inside you. Allow yourself to tap into it. Let go of the old nagging feeling that your weight is always a big bad cloud over your head. You have shown great progress! It's only 3 months out and you have many many more to go!

NOT weight related, make a list of the wonderful blessings in your life and thank the good Lord above for them. Choose happiness. Choose Peace. Choose moving forward with a smile. Let me tell you, I have seen your pics and here are some things I really like about you.

Your avatar with your cool shades. You look like a Hollywood beauty.

Your Before pic. Sitting there with a drink and ciggy in your hand with this loook on your face, I don't know, but I cracked up laughing when I saw it because I saw a glimpse of me, but I'm not near so glamorous or pretty as you. I love that pic.

Your before pic on the Fall Challenge thread. Girl, I know you are female but you got balls to stand there in your skivvies. Of course, if I had your bod, I'd do it, too. You are beautiful!

To me you are edgy, glamorous, tough, and yes, I see your unrest, too. Have Peace, my friend. You are wonderful!!!!! Focus on the blessings. The weight WILL come off!

And, here's a piece of diet advice that might help? If not, ignore. Stop dieting. Just for a day or two. Weigh everyday and don't let yourself gain what you can't lose in a day or two of cutting back. Allow yourself a pound or two. Take a break. I'm not saying to blow it, go off on a binge, just eat and don't worry. Sometimes a few days of rest from it all is what we need to jump start our resolve. The extra calories (the healthy ones) are sometimes what our bodies need.

Maria,

Losing 40 lbs in 3 months in my opinion is ABOVE AVERAGE!! You should be jumping for joy!!!!!! :):P:) If your happiness is determined by how much weight you lose, then you truly do have more to work on then just your weight. No matter what your weight is, you are a BEAUTIFUL PERSON!! Even though I don't know you personally, I know that there is beauty in everyone.

I had my surgery 1 week after you & have lost 30 lbs. To be honest with you, I wish it were more too!!!! It looks like you & I are about the same weight & size. Losing 30 lbs. isn't a head turning weight loss & I've found that not very many people have noticed. As a matter of fact, other people have asked me - "Have you had the surgery yet?" (Some people are RUDE!!!!!) However, I have to remember my long term goal & keeps my sight on that!! We will get there & when we do - WATCH OUT!!!

Keep up the great work. We are all pulling for you.

Mary - Look at those NSV's!! What a fabulous thing - no reflux, work-outs without gasping and flopping like a fish and your body is starting to function normally - on it's own. Not to mention 40 lbs lost.

What's not to like?

*Why are you keeping the RNY rules? Just curious. It is my opinion that the best thing to do once you have a band is to forget that you ever even HEARD of the RNY - since comparing your progress to a By-Pass patient only leads to the kind of disappointment that you are experiencing right now.

I recommend that you follow the bandster rules - and forget about those RNY folks altogether. YOU ARE DOING GREAT!!!

Go buy yourself something sexy to wear that fits - and relax for a day or two.

The best thing about the band is that it will wait, if you need a break.

OMG not even my mom would ever saying such a beautiful things about me...

Kathy you make me cry now.. thank you soo much for your kind words to me..

i don't think i deserve them though..

Theresa, Dee, Laura, Eileen, Diana, Rene, i wish i could hug you right now,

i'm in tears, you are such a wonderful friends, and you don't even know me ..

to say a big THANK YOU is not enough...

ps. kathy that view in that pic was just because the photoflash blinded me..

i decided to stay off diet and the scale for a few days, cause it drives me crazy

this situation and i ll call my doc for a second fill..

i decided to quit off my very beloved diet coke that i drink every evening..

as about the RNY rules i'm off of sugar and fat totally, i try to eat as if i had

a gastric by pass and not a band procedure.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
