MsButterKup23 1 Posted October 6, 2005 Just curious if 3 days of liquids followed by another 3 days of Soup, yogurt and liquids are the norm. Thanks!
msdimples29 0 Posted October 6, 2005 Yeah, that's pretty much the norm... My doctor suggest 2 days Clear Liquids, 2 days full liquids, 2 days of soft foods, and then resume normal diet.
Penni60 45 Posted October 6, 2005 Well I wouldn't say the norm. My surgeon only recommends 24 hours of liquid then advance to normal foods as tolerated. liquid doesn't mean Clear Liquids either. Soups, Water, etc. Every surgeon is different some err on the side of caution when it comes to fills. Others are more liberal.
thinkthin 0 Posted October 7, 2005 My surgeon says 2 days of "full" liquids, 2 days of mushy food, then to the regular diet.

Tricia K. 0 Posted November 3, 2005 Yes, every doctor is different. Today I went in for my first fill and my doctor told me that I should stay on full liquids today and tomorrow morning, mushies tomorrow afternoon and evening and then proceed to solid foods the following day. giveyouthemoon 4 Posted November 8, 2005 My doc just says "liquids and soft food the next couple days...just take it easy". That's all the guidance I get!
tcpa 0 Posted November 9, 2005 I will get my first fill...THE DAY BEFORE THANKSGIVING! I'm thinking that may be cruel and unusual punishment! I've asked my family to postpone thanksgiving 1 day so maybe I can at least eat a few things and not have to drink it. My doctor recommends 24hrs full liquids and then progress as tolerated. I know my band is very loose and I don't expect much restriction with the first fill. I'm curious to know if anyone tried some solid foods 48hrs after fill. vinesqueen 2 Posted November 9, 2005 Every doc is unique. I just need to "take it easy." It seems the more experienced the doc and clinic, the more liberal.
