LeeSuh 0 Posted September 18, 2009 Hi guys! I've been reading around and haven't been able to find much information on Cigna PPO. This is my first post... not completely sure if I'm posting on the correct thread. Okay, open enrollment at work is coming up in Nov (09) and I would like to know what you guys would recommend as to what insurance would be better and/or easier; should I keep kaiser which seems to have a long wait time, or switch to Cigna in hopes of getting banded sooner? I'm pretty much aware already of the requirements for Kaiser HMO and how their approval works, I'm not so sure on Cigna PPO, is approval difficult? Any thoughts? Opinions? Suggestions? Experiences? Any and all information is greatly appreciated. Thanks! [i'm in Southern California.]
kristintaylor1 4 Posted October 5, 2009 I'm on Cigna PPO and there are some tough restrictions. I am currently going through my 6 month nutrition visits that they require. They did just review their latest requirements in June and changed some things. Here is a medical coverage policy for Cigna, however, I would verify whether this would be the same coverage that you're looking into. http://www.cigna.com/customer_care/healthcare_professional/coverage_positions/medical/mm_0051_coveragepositioncriteria_bariatric_surgery.pdf 1 waitingtoexhale reacted to this
