BandedCG 0 Posted September 17, 2009 I have gone from 273 to 208 since my surgery! Size 20 jeans were too tight...now I'm in 16's! I feel so much better! More energy. Fitting into old clothes that were too tight....and having a lot that are now way too big. Compliments! I could go on and on.... Add yours.....
baby ruth 1 Posted September 17, 2009 Going from size 20/22 to 16 and not shopping for plus sizes. Having my 22 year old daughter tell me she wants to try on my jeans because they are cool:thumbup:....and she still shops for clothing in the jr's section. Getting away from the idea that I have to eat out at a buffet type resturant and get my monies worth. Feel better mentally and physically. Mimilou2004 13 Posted September 17, 2009 I am thankful that my health has improved and I can fit into smaller clothes. Mimi
BandedCG 0 Posted October 6, 2009 Update -- Just bought 2 pair of size 14 jeans from AVENUE! That's their smallest size. OMG!!!
StarsZie 3 Posted October 12, 2009 Just came from my Endocrinologist... all my blood work levels are down that are supposed to be down and those that are supposed to be up are up! He said and I quote... "You're a new woman!". I'm off my BP meds and only on one now for my thyroid. (I had 1/2 removed many years ago from a tumor) I'm also thankful that i'm no longer a 26 and wearing a 12... just bought 10's over the weekend! Don't remember the last time I wore 12's never mind 10's!

Westonrose 0 Posted October 12, 2009 No more insulin, no more BP meds, no more Cholesterol meds, no more anything. Size: 28-30 to now just getting into 14. The 96 pounds in the last 7 months were an added bonus!! Michelle Banded 03/12/2009 High weight 284 Current weight
GlenSand 1 Posted November 10, 2009 There are soooo many reasons that I love my band. I'll try to narrow it down... Going from a size 22 to 12 and hoping for 8 when I'm all done. 47lbs left! Being able to run upstairs when I need to instead of dreading it or sending my kids. All the many compliments I get from family and coworkers. Feeling 20 years younger when I'm almost 48! And, not taking up so much room -in elevators, airplanes, my car, restaurants etc. Look at my before and after pix! I am VERY thankful for this band!
shangefan 193 Posted November 27, 2009 I've lost 55 pounds in nine months. Some have done more, but I never could have accomplished this without the band. My health is much better. Decreased meds, no more achy knees, no longer worry that I am going to have a heart attack. I am now comfortable tucking in a shirt -- and think I look good when I do it. No more "Big and Tall" section. Yippee! Waist size under 40. I mean, it is 38 and I want to lose another four inches, but I haven't seen anything under 40 in a decade. Compliments -- from family and friends. And they don't just say I look thinner; they say I seem to have a new glow. No problem walking anytime and I can actually run up the stairs now. I like me, I really like me. (with apologies to Sally Fields) 1 PDB41017 reacted to this
sweetbean70 2 Posted November 29, 2009 How thankful am I? Let me count the ways... 1) scale finally going in the right direction (-55lbs) 2) compliments from friends and family 3) less medication (hopefully even less meds after Jan. bloodwork) 4) lots of energy 5) going from a tight size 28 to a baggy size 22 6) actually having to try on clothes instead of just taking the biggest size and praying it fits 7) increased self-confidence 8) cleaning out my closets and donating my "too big" clothes 9) not letting food control my thoughts and actions 10) my dad telling my hubby..."Eventhough I'm saying this about my own daughter, she's HOT." I actually cried when my hubby told me about this.
Cocoabean 430 Posted December 24, 2009 Normal blood pressure (off meds--yay!!) Normal blood sugar! Life doesn't revolve around next meal. Obsessing over food is a thing of the past. Don't mind walking distances-because my joints don't hurt as bad, and I don't get winded. Single digit size jeans (size 8!)--down from size 20. My husband isn't as worried about my health. I don't feel as though people are looking at or judging what I am eating when I eat out. I don't feel that I stand out. I am not always the biggest person in a group. No more shopping at "The Tent Makers Shop"--Misses sizes are fun A silly one---my wrists are tiny. I was always envious of ladies with little wrists. Mine are now! minimeme 1 Posted December 24, 2009 I didnt have to ask for a seat belt extension when I flew. Sometimes they can be very ugly about getting you one.
BgB9 9 Posted April 11, 2010 I travel a lot, not seeing people's expression of "Please don't let him sit next to me". I'm saving money by ordering from the kid's menu
Humming Bird 275 Posted April 11, 2010 I would have never taken off this much weight without the band. I would have given up by now and just tried to accept being overweight. I look and feel better. I can wear the smaller sizes that have been collecting dust in my closet. I can shop in the normal sizes section! No more ample duds for me!
