lovecats85 2 Posted October 5, 2005 I am 5 days out and I'm starting to get hungry and not feel full - I guess the swelling has gone down. I am only supposed to "eat" 6 ounces of liquid every 2 hours but I want the whole can of Soup - not half, and some water! At this rate I can only have 1/4 can soup and a tiny cup of Water. I am losing it! I used to drink 12-15 big bottles of water per day!
CancunGirl 1 Posted October 6, 2005 I know its hard!, I´m not really hungry at all (must be the fill), but when I´m preparing or serving food to my kids. I see it and touch it and smell it and want to eat it so bad! OMG! and I am only supposed to "eat" 2 ounces of liquid (clear) every 2 hours. So I'm living on Isopure (but I'm tired of it by now). I find so confusing that everyone have guidelines for their diet that are sooo different, I have a friend who has to be on Clear liquids for 3 weeks! and envy your 6 ounces of Soup.< /p> ....for me in two more days full liquids:). I am so happy to have my band and want to take excellent care of it, I know this stage will pass ...but when you are not eating time goes by so sloooooow. But I bet we will be laughing about this soon!
lovecats85 2 Posted October 6, 2005 I'm not even that hungry - i just wanted a little more than the 3 ounces! And I miss all the Water I drank - my skin is dry already!
the best me 6 Posted October 6, 2005 Oh my goodness, drink your water! Stay hydrated, for goodness sakes! If you can get it down with no discomfort at all, then, yes, your swelling is going down and Water is certainly NOT going to be a problem for your band, your health, your weight loss, nothing. Check with your doc just in case, but I'd imagine the guidelines for your Water are minimum consumption. If you can drink more, do it!
lovecats85 2 Posted October 6, 2005 I go see the doc tomorrow so I will ask. I've been drinking alot more Water than 3 ounces - I just don't want to hurt my band but I need water!
