testevenson 0 Posted September 16, 2009 I've had my lab band approximately 2 years. I went from a 1x to a size 10. My goal was to be in a size 8. When I went for my adjustment I was informed that my band had dilated and needed to be repaired. He deflated my band and I've gained 13 pounds since my last visit. I'm devestated! I will be consulting with my Doctor on the September 25th. During the last visit he mentioned gastric bypass or repairing the lap band. I'm very upset over this. I'm also a bit concerned. The gastric bypass seem so drastic with the cutting and re-routing of this and that. On the other hand I must admit that several co-workers had the gastric bypass, and they lost weight fast and look great. I'm a bit confused. Part of me want to be done with this and just want the weight off quickly the other part of me still feels the lab band is the healthier route and patience is needed on my part. Does anyone have similar experience I would like to hear your thoughts on this. Or anyone who could impart some wisdom. Terry:confused:
RestlessMonkey 7 Posted September 16, 2009 The BAND dilated, or your pouch dilated? Sorry but there's quite a difference, just need clarification.
