I dont think there's another poll like this and I'd like to hear what bandsters say about this!

I replied, I have been banded for almost 4 months and have only gotten stuck a couple of times. It's been awhile since the last time!

I said once a month. I've been banded since March and that's about right for me. Only when I'm dumb and try to eat things that I know probably won't work out. I'm learning.

I've been stuck a lot these past few days. I got a fill on Friday and Saturday I was fine and I haven't been able to keep anything down since. I managed Water this AM though, but I am still going to get a slight unfill this afternoon because I'm afraid I won't be able to get anything else down. I didn't sign up for the liquid-only diet.

I had a period of a couple of months where I was too tight and didn't want to admit it to myself. During that time, my weight loss pretty much skidded to a halt, and I got stuck every time I ate, often more than once in a meal. I finally got just .2cc removed and I've gotten stuck just ONCE since then and it was all my fault for eating the one thing I know beyond a shadow of a doubt will cause me to get stuck....soft bread. I ate a bite of a biscuit and it nearly killed me, LOL.

I just had a fill last Saturday and have been "stuck" about 3 times......learning curve. Need to chew more and slower. Not been so stuck that I've PB'd but it's hurt and I've had to stop eating. No more.....I will be paying attention. I get stuck on lunch meat mostly. bread really isn't a problem for me.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
